Uub

Just before Goku destroyed Kid Buu with the Spirit Bomb, he said that he hoped Buu would be reincarnated as a good person so that they could fight again someday. Hearing Goku's wish,King Yemma decided to grant Goku's request and has Kid Buu reincarnated as a human as the saiyan had just saved the universe from total destruction. The reincarnation of Kid Buu was born as the eldest of five children in a poor and starving village located on a tropical island. He was given the name Uub, which was Buu spelled backwards and he worked hard to support his family and friends. As the reincarnation of Kid Buu, he was blessed with the Majin's incredible power and fighting genius making him the strongest one in his village. When he was 10, he entered the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament hoping to use the prize money to support his starving village and before he left, his mother told him that even though he was the strongest in his village, there were even stronger people on the planet. When Uub arrived at the tournament, he was quickly intimidated by the other fighters and after the drawings to determine the matches, he was paired off with Goku. When it was his turn to fight, he became even more nervous as he learned that Goku was a seasoned veteran who managed to win the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament.

With the boy being so nervous that he couldn't use his true power and even flinched when Goku moved closer to him, the saiyan figured that he should anger the kid to overcome his nervousness. So he insulted the boy's family which enraged Uub to the point where he went on the offensive and unleashed some of his true power which not only allowed him match the seasoned veteran blow for blow, but was also able to hurt him. As the two fought, Uub displayed his fighting genius as he learned and improved from the battle which pushed the saiyan to almost use a kamehameha wave against a boy who couldn't control his power. The fight ended when Uub was about to fall into the ring before being grabbed by his opponent. Goku apologized to Uub for the insults as he wanted to see the boy's true power and after some thought, Goku decided to move into Uub's village and train him to become Earth's protector should something happen to him. Uub was of course worried about the prize money, but the saiyan said that Mr. Satan would sponsor the village as he had more money than body hair. With the financial burden being lifted, he agreed to be trained under Goku and as he flew off towards his village with Goku, Goku revealed to the boy that he had an ulterior motive of fighting him again once he was fully trained to see who the strongest was.

As promised, Goku began to train the boy alongside Pan and to teach the two the basics of fighting, he had a sparing match with Vegeta with both of them fighting in their super saiyan 2 state. Earth's savior was confident that Uub would surpass both him and Vegeta, but Uub had his doubts about that as they were both so strong. Eventually, Goku would reveal to Uub that he was the reincarnation of Kid Buu, one of the strongest foes he has even fought which was why he was so naturally strong and the reason why he believed that he would surpass him. As he continued to train, he began to develop feelings for Vegeta's daughter, Bra but was too intimidated by Vegeta to act on them. By the time he and the others were invited to participate in the Multiverse Tournament, he had mastered the kaio-ken and is eager to show the others how much stronger he has become.
