History:
Zheig was not originally a cyborg. He was born as two whole persons instead of two halves. Twin brothers by the name of Zhyne and Kreig were born to a canid father, Hayato Ipsen, and a human mother, Cecelia Blanch-Ipsen. The two brothers were born not on Earth, but on a planet inhabited primarily by furry folk like their father. The planet is known as Odon, and it is home to all sorts of animalistic people both furry and scalie alike. A war was being fought there when the boys were born, and their home village was stricken with tragedy. A massive bomb exploded, blanketing their home village with fire and razing it to the ground when the twins were only just thirteen. With their parents away tending to the war effort elsewhere, Zhyne and Kreig had to struggle to escape and survive. Kreig did not make it...or so Zhyne thought. But as the lone wolfen brother was about to collapse from exhaustion the day after the fire, he was engulfed in a white light and taken from his home planet. He had no clue where Kreig was, as he'd been searching the charred remains of the city for him since sunrise that day.
When he awoke after being hit by the white light, he was standing in the middle of an extremely high tech facility with his brother's unconscious and seemingly lifeless body in a tube in front of him. Zhyne was given answers quickly and directly by none other than the one responsible. It was a man of Anglic descent from a planet called Edenia. The Edenias were known for their benevolence and peaceful nature toward other races in general, but this particular Edenian was the head of an intergalactic defense force that he called the Crimson Prophets. He explained further that Zhyne and Kreig should not be separated, and that he'd not let this tragedy stand if Zhyne didn't want it to. In exchange for testing a new cybernetic augmentation program that they had developed, Zhyne would get to keep his brother alive! But it wasn't the way he expected. Via the Edenian's technology, Kreig's mind and soul were transferred into an incredibly high powered CPU, effectively making him a true AI. The AI was then planted into Zhyne's head after Zhyne was given several cybernetic enhancements including reinforced skeletal structure, light dermal plating, superconductive metallic muscle tissue, ocular, aural, and nasal implants, as well as a slew of nanites to keep his vital organs tended to and to keep the metallic parts of him repaired and functioning properly. Kreig's AI was directly linked to a device called the Ascension Driver, and the whole ordeal was called the Seraph Project.
With a device attached to his belt, Zhyne...or Zheig as the two merged consciousnesses preferred to be called, was able to temporarily supercharge different parts of his enhanced body in order to perform normally impossible skills and feats, and he hastily put them to use when given the opportunity. After the testing phase was over and the project concluded, or at least Zheig suspected it was concluded, the cyborg hybrid was left to his own devices. He was not yet given a position as a member of the Crimson Prophets, but he was told to keep in touch with their leader just in case something came up.
Zheig is one of the more recent additions to this universe, with his person having only been warped through a wormhole to get here a short three days prior to today. He was dropped onto the merged version of Earth with nothing but what he had on him at the time. Even his ship was left behind. And so the cyborg sets out for a new adventure and with the purpose of relocating his home as well as further pushing the limits of his new body!
